Director's message

This site contains lots of information about us you will find helpful, we update information on a regular basis so keep an eye on this site. Any suggestions on content are welcome.

We at TLC believe that learning is a lifelong process in which the children, parents, early childhood educators, the environment, previous experience, individual style and opportunity all play an important role. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with our educators, and to talk to us about your child’s needs.

We believe that forming a partnership between the centre and each child’s family is vital. You know your child best, and our educators have valuable knowledge of and experience in early childhood development – each can be a wonderful resource to the other.  We pride ourselves on the long term relationships with our families often having several children attend from the same family for many years.

We at TLC understand that placing your child in this environment is an important decision and as such, we feel privileged to play an integral role in your child's learning and development.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, child orientated environment in order to provide your child with the security, warmth and love which are essential to their development and growth.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to familiarise yourself with our centre’s operations. We warmly welcome you to TLC, and look forward to a long and happy association with you and your family.

Testimonials

My Son has thrived in Childcare, he has been attending Thornbury Learning Centre since he was 8 months old and I cannot fault the staff and quality of care towards him at all. The centre and staff have a very homely feel and I have always had total trust in leaving my son in their more than capable hands. I would recommend TLC to any family.  Kat

TLC has provided a foundation for my two children’s learning journey. Both children started at TLC when they were 8 Months old and continued until school began. The staff and homely environment allowed them to settle and be happy through their days at child care. They both learnt so much and had a great experience.  Melissa
